Lebanon's Ondash Plans Georgia Trip After Nov. 13 Grand Prix Bout

· Kickboxing & Muay Thai

Ramadan "The Scorpion" Ondash is 20, the youngest of eight children, and he has already collected passport stamps across Europe, the Middle East and Asia. The Lebanese Muay Thai fighter says travel is how he spends the quiet weeks between fights.

First comes work. Ondash meets Japan's Shimon Yoshinari in the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix quarterfinals at The Inner Circle 38 on Friday, November 13. The card airs live on live.onefc.com in Asia primetime from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok.

A busy house in Beirut

Ondash grew up in a lively Beirut household. His father was a wrestler, and several of his older brothers turned to Muay Thai professionally.

He was a decorated IFMA youth champion and won multiple Arab junior titles. He has competed internationally since childhood.

Away from the ring he likes football, jet skiing and playing games with friends. "I also like traveling, going to different places as tourists," he said. "I like going with my friends just to see the world."

Countries already visited

The list is long. "I've been to so many places: Germany, Jordan, Turkey, Thailand 17 times, Spain, France, Switzerland, Sweden," Ondash said.

He usually travels in a group of five or six, built around one or two close friends he calls brothers. He takes plenty of pictures and videos along the way.

His next plan is already set. "This year, after my fight, around Christmas, we want to go to Georgia for five days and Armenia for three days," he said. A friend has been to Georgia before and described it as very beautiful. Ondash wants to see the mountains there. "The real mountains," he said.

He has never traveled alone, but he wants to try it in December. He also named a destination in Southeast Asia. "Bali! I want to go to Bali, I swear," he said. "I've seen my friends go to Bali. It's very beautiful."

Ondash explained why he makes time for it. "I like to relax a little bit because I'm always training hard, fighting, and working. You need to rest a little bit."
