Pavlovich Training Clip Has Pereira Fans Worried Before UFC 335

· Videos

Sergei Pavlovich has posted training footage on social media ahead of his UFC 335 fight with Alex Pereira, which takes place this November in New York City. Fans who commented on the video predicted a difficult night for the Brazilian, who is known as 'Poatan'.

What the video shows

The clip, shared earlier this week, shows the Russian heavyweight throwing punches during a training session in preparation for the Pereira bout.

Reaction in the comment sections came quickly, and much of it went against Pereira. Some fans wrote that 'Poatan' was finished, others predicted that Pavlovich would knock him out in the first round or win inside two rounds, and one simply asked Pavlovich not to hurt him. Another commenter wrote that there would be no surprises and that Pavlovich would knock Pereira out in round one. One fan wrote that he is a big supporter of 'Poatan' but thinks he should go back down to light heavyweight or retire.

Pereira's last fight and his plans

Pereira, the former UFC middleweight and light heavyweight champion, moved up to heavyweight and fought Ciryl Gane at the UFC White House card earlier this year. He lost that fight by knockout, and the fan reaction to the Pavlovich clip came in the months after that defeat.

Pereira has said he intends to stay at heavyweight and try to win a third UFC title, which would be a record. The bout with Pavlovich at UFC 335 in New York City in November is his next scheduled heavyweight fight. It will be his first bout since he lost to Gane on the White House card.
