Rodtang Opens Workout to Media Before Nong-O Grand Prix Bout
Rodtang "The Iron Man" Jitmuangnon held an open workout for the media at Jitmuangnon Gym in Nonthaburi, Thailand, on Wednesday, October 28. The 29-year-old, a former ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion, is preparing for Nong-O Hama. ONE published photos from the session.
The two meet in the quarterfinals of the 2026-2027 ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix. The bout is on The Inner Circle 38 on Friday, November 13, at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok. It airs live in Asia primetime and streams for members at live.onefc.com.
Rodtang and Nong-O were first booked to fight at ONE 173 last November. ONE calls it unfinished business. With a place in the tournament semifinals at stake, the winner takes a step toward the world title.
Two records
Rodtang has 274 career wins and a 17-3 record in ONE Championship. He is ranked No. 2 among flyweight Muay Thai contenders. He ruled the division for five years and defended the ONE title five times before he was stripped of it in 2024. He came back to ONE under a new contract earlier this year.
Rodtang represents Jitmuangnon Gym. His preparation has included intensive conditioning and training alongside fellow Thai fighter Nuenglanlek Jitmuangnon.
Nong-O is 39. He has 268 professional wins and eight ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title wins. He is ranked No. 3 among flyweight Muay Thai contenders. His career helped inspire a generation of Thai fighters. Nong-O has set his sights on becoming a two-division ONE world champion.
For Rodtang, the fight carries special weight. He grew up admiring Nong-O, one of his childhood heroes. He considers the bout a chance to test himself against a master of the sport.
