Jimmie Rivera Floors Brandon Meyer With One Punch at BKFC 95
Jimmie Rivera came out of retirement to fight in front of his home state, and he fought in front of a home-state crowd in New Jersey. In the co-main event of BKFC 95 at the Prudential Center, the former UFC bantamweight knocked out Brandon Meyer with a single punch in the fourth round.
The finish
The highlight clip, which BKFC shared online, shows Rivera landing a clean right hand upstairs. Meyer drops straight to the canvas, and the fight is over. It was Rivera's second win in a row.
The result lifted 'El Terror' to 4-2-1 in bare-knuckle boxing. His promotional debut in 2022 ended in a majority draw with Howard Davis, and the following year he beat Bekhzod Usmonov by unanimous decision. He then lost a fight at lightweight to fellow UFC veteran Jeremy Stephens, bounced back against former two-time Bellator featherweight champion Daniel Straus, and fell short against Kai Stewart in a featherweight title fight in November 2024.
Retired, unretired, undecided
Rivera originally walked away from combat sports after beating Mason in 2025. He later admitted he was not sure he was truly satisfied with that ending and that it had been hard to close his prizefighting career. When BKFC returned to New Jersey, he decided to fight again.
He now has back-to-back wins over Mason and Meyer. At the post-fight press conference, Rivera would not commit to fighting on a regular basis. He said he is open to hearing from BKFC president David Feldman whenever the promotion comes back to his home state, and for now he plans to think about his future.
