Tomasz Narkun Submits Daniel Skvor in Promoted Oktagon 95 Headliner
Oktagon 95 at Mattoni Arena in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic, ended up with a different main event than originally planned. The card had been built around an all-Czech clash between Dominick Humburger and Patrick Kincl, but Humburger missed weight at Friday's weigh-ins and Kincl declined to accept a catchweight bout.
Kincl cited his younger daughter as one of his reasons, saying he had to explain to his younger daughter during camp why he could not share meals with her despite already being lean. With that fight gone, light heavyweights Daniel Skvor and Tomasz Narkun were moved to the top of the bill.
Narkun wins in the first round
Narkun, a former KSW champion, submitted Skvor at 2:29 of the opening round. Skvor came in as the promotion's heavyweight champion; earlier this year he had been forced out of a planned fight with then-205-pound champion Will Fleury, who later lost that belt to Makhmud Muradov.
In other results, middleweight Matus Juracek stopped Jozef Wittner by TKO late in the third round, flyweight Aaron Aby beat David Dvorak by split decision, and light heavyweight Timo Feucht stopped Zdenek Polivka by TKO in 13 seconds. Featherweight Marco Novak finished Anatolij Baal by TKO in the second round.
Decisions and a Stand and Bang bout
Vaclav Stepan outpointed Aria Azarnoosh in a 152-pound catchweight contest, Viktor Cervinsky took a unanimous decision over Daniel Hromek at welterweight, and Husein Kadimagomaev beat Marco Elpidio on all three cards at catchweight. Light heavyweights Robin Fosum and Tomas Klabik fought under the promotion's Stand and Bang rules, with Fosum winning a unanimous decision. The event streamed on Oktagon.tv and on DAZN for international viewers.
