Moicano and Hasanov Sent to Hospital After UFC Vegas 123
Nobody has said yet what the hospital scans showed for two fighters from UFC Vegas 123. Promotion officials confirmed that Renato Moicano and Farman Hasanov were sent for evaluation after their bouts on Saturday, Oct. 31, at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas.
Routine caution, no results yet
Both men were taken for CT scans of the head and face. A CT scan is an imaging test that can show bone damage and bleeding inside the head, so it is a common safety step after heavy strikes.
The report calls such transfers normal for the UFC, especially after fights full of damage or nasty knockouts. At the time of publication, neither fighter's results had been disclosed.
Hasanov and the eyelid cut
Hasanov, a welterweight known as "The Lion," opened the main card against Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani. In the third round he suffered a gruesome cut across his left eyelid.
Referee Miragliotta stopped the action and called in the ringside physician. The doctor decided Hasanov could not safely go on, so Lebosnoyani won by doctor stoppage.
The result cost Hasanov his unbeaten record. He is now 5-1, with a 1-1 mark in the UFC after winning his promotional debut at UFC Baku earlier this year.
Moicano after the main event
Moicano, a former UFC lightweight title challenger, lost the main event to Tom Nolan by technical knockout in the third round. His record is 21-8-1. He has gone 1-3 over his last four appearances and finishes 2026 at 1-1 in UFC main events.
The fight carried controversy. In the second round Moicano locked a body triangle on Nolan's back and was working from the dominant position. Miragliotta still stood the fighters up.
Nolan used the restart to hurt Moicano with strikes and nearly finished him before the round ended. In the third he reversed a takedown and landed ground-and-pound until Miragliotta stopped the fight.
Our view
The two cases come from different kinds of damage. Hasanov's night ended on a medical call over a single cut. Moicano's built up across a fight that changed course after a restart. Miragliotta was the referee in both. The scan results are the missing piece, and they had not been made public at the time of publication.
