ONE Friday Fights 177 Sets Isannuea vs. Jack at Lumpinee
ONE Friday Fights 177 has its full lineup. Nine bouts are booked for November 6 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, and five of them are Muay Thai.
Three sports on one weekly show
The Muay Thai block runs from bantamweight to atomweight. Three of the five fights are at atomweight: Chatpet Suablackmuaythai against Saipetlek Rongsamak Orborjor Udon Thani, Petdam BS Muaythai against Chaisongkram Looksuan, and Klinphaka Por Thaisong against Ran Longshu.
Kickboxing gets three slots. Phun Suea Muang meets Kazuteru Yamazaki and Marats Jankovskis meets Retsu Sashida, both at flyweight. Okazaki Silkmuaythai faces Yuto at atomweight.
One MMA bout rounds out the night. Bos Chayut and Kentaro Okumura fight at bantamweight.
Broadcast slot behind a title fight
Friday Fights 177 follows The Inner Circle 37 on the schedule and airs live in Asia primetime. That earlier event is headlined by Christian Lee, the ONE Lightweight MMA World Title holder, against challenger Tye Ruotolo.
Jack against Isannuea
The Muay Thai bantamweight main event puts Jack Siatanyokkrok PK across from Isannuea Sor Sasiwat. ONE points out one shared trait: each of them has finished all of his wins in the promotion.
Jack is 31 and described as a fast starter. He last fought in the weekly series at Friday Fights 39, where Darkie Nokkhao KorMor11 was knocked out in 45 seconds. At Friday Fights 21 he stopped Mardanglek Nakatawan in round one. ONE says his right hand could floor any man in front of him.
Isannuea, 22, trains out of Sit Erawan. All four of his promotional wins ended by knockout. Khunpon Aekmuangnon went down in round one at Friday Fights 149, and Sanit Aekmuangnon was finished in round two at Friday Fights 140. His body attacks often set up the punches and kicks to the head that end fights.
A debut in the co-main event
The co-main is a flyweight Muay Thai bout. Superball Sitcho, 24, makes his ONE debut with 43 professional wins. His style is built on body kicks and elbows, and ONE says he will try to make an immediate impact.
His opponent, Saksri Superlek Muaythai, is 26 and has 49 career wins. His overhand right is his known weapon. His ONE record includes a unanimous decision over Kayasit Por Prachansi at Friday Fights 107. He also trains under Superlek, a former two-sport, two-division ONE World Champion.
Our View
Both main-event fighters have finished every one of their ONE wins, which makes an early finish a plausible outcome.
The weaker spot for forecasting is the co-main. Superball brings 43 wins, but ONE gives no detail on his level of opposition, so the first look at him against Saksri on November 6 is the real test.
