Feldman Says BKFC Has Options for Till's Next Few Fights
Darren Till's next fight may be settled within about two weeks. BKFC president David Feldman says the promotion hopes to announce one by then. If it does not, Till is free to chase a bigger payday elsewhere.
The two-week test
Feldman told MMAFighting.com that he thinks BKFC will have a fight to announce for Till in the next two weeks. In that case, he said, Till fights for BKFC. If nothing is ready, Feldman said there is an option for Till to possibly fight Jake Paul or someone like that.
Why Feldman is relaxed about a detour
He was open about the trade-off. There is a fight or two outside BKFC that Till would like, and Feldman called it a "really, really big payday." That, he said, is why it was set up as an option.
The reasoning is about momentum. A layoff of eight or nine months would kill it anyway if BKFC has no fight ready. In that case Feldman called it only fair to let Till go and earn.
He still expects the two sides to stay together. He said he gets along very well with Till and with his management, and that a longer relationship is coming.
The Paul idea and the Perry gap
Till hoped to fight Paul before the end of 2026. That has gone nowhere, because Paul accepted a boxing match with Cedric Doumbe. Feldman still thinks Till would have a realistic chance of beating Paul and called it a great payday opportunity if it ever comes.
The BKFC route lost a key piece too. Feldman had wanted a grudge match between Till and Mike Perry, but Perry recently said he is done with BKFC.
Till last fought for the promotion in September, beating Yoel Romero by unanimous decision. That followed his March debut knockout of Aaron Chalmers.
Feldman did not name the opponent he has in mind. He also did not say which outside fights Till wants beyond the Paul idea.
