Ndoye Faces Former GLORY Champion Adamchuk in Utrecht
Rising kickboxer Isakh Ndoye meets Ukraine's Serhii Adamchuk, a former GLORY featherweight champion, on Sunday, Nov. 29, in the headliner of WFL Utrecht at Het Gietijzer.
What Adamchuk brings
In November 2015 at GLORY 25, Adamchuk beat Gabriel Varga by split decision and won the GLORY featherweight title. He defended it once, then lost it the following year. He is 36.
He has also faced Marat Grigorian, Petchpanomrung Kiatmookao, Robin van Roosmalen, Abraham Vidales and Dylan Salvador. In GLORY he made 21 appearances and went 12-9.
The report credits him with the ability to disrupt an aggressive opponent through movement, timing and low kicks.
A quick turnaround for Ndoye
Ndoye, 24, goes by "Le Prince". He is originally from Senegal and now competes out of the Netherlands. His reported record is 24-3-1 with eight knockouts.
He last fought in his World Fighting League debut in Antwerp, where he beat Sabri Ben Henia. The main slot puts him opposite a rival who has fought far more often at the top level. A win would be the biggest of his career, as the report puts it, and the report calls Adamchuk a considerable step up in competition.
Where to watch
The event is a kickboxing show and the broadcast is on Prime Combat TV. Tickets and more information are available through World Fighting League, whose official schedule confirms the date and venue. The venue is at Gietijzerstraat 3 in Utrecht.
